The Project
This custom home is surrounded by pristine native landscape on all sides. The challenge was to revegetate the site and blend the construction scar with the surrounding hillsides. Native Landscapes inventoried the existing plant community and grew custom grasses and forbs to revegetate the site. Fractured stone from the excavation for the structure was used with gabion basket walls for retention. Basalt boulders to blend with the surrounding outcrops were set into the landscape. A concrete paver driveway and pedestal-set porcelain slab decks complement the sleek architectural lines of this home.
